Help
How MyContest works — create a contest, invite friends, nominate, vote, and present the ranking.
The idea
The host creates a contest (songs, photos, or any topic). Guests join with a code or QR, then nominate and vote. After voting, the host can reveal results step by step — like a Eurovision-style presentation.
Create a contest
- Open Create and pick a type: Song, Photo, or Anything.
- Choose who adds candidates: only you (curated), only guests (nominations), or both.
- Set scoring, when nominations close, and how results are revealed.
- Share the invite code or QR from the contest page. Guests open the link or go to Join.
Tip: Your draft is saved in the browser. If you leave Create and come back, you can continue or start fresh.
Nominations
When nominations are open, participants add candidates (songs, photos, or custom items — depending on the contest type). The host can close nominations manually, on a schedule, or after a countdown.
Birthday Song Contests can pull chart songs around a birth date — useful for parties and anniversaries.
Voting
Once voting opens, everyone ranks or rates the candidates according to the scoring model the host chose. Some contests allow changing your ballot until voting closes; others lock after submit.
The host can start voting right after create (curated polls) or automatically when timed nominations close.
Results & reveal
- Immediate / live — show the full ranking as soon as voting ends (or while votes come in).
- Last to first — reveal places one by one for a presentation.
- By participant — walk through each person’s ballot before the overall ranking.
Optional nominator ranking can be revealed before, after, or in parallel with candidate results.
Plans & unlock
Free and Plus plans include a limited number of active contests, participant caps, and nomination/candidate limits. If your setup goes beyond the plan — or you already use all active slots — you can still finish Create and unlock that contest once, or upgrade your plan.
Guests
Guests only need the invite link or code and a display name. No account is required to join, nominate, or vote (unless the host later asks you to save progress with an email account).
